History

As a reminder, load management control start times may vary from the predicted start time listed above.  The final determination is made by Nebraska Public Power District's Control Center personnel based on their current load information.  Load management customers can be controlled up to 12 hours per day.  The window of control time is anywhere from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Saturday.  In order to reduce the system load, Dawson PPD will start sending load management tones a few minutes before the announced start time.  In case of emergency, Dawson PPD also reserves the right to control on Sunday.  For example:  if we predict a 10:00 a.m. start time, it may be delayed until 11 a.m. and could last until 11:00 p.m.

All customers are asked to voluntarily conserve electricity on their farms and in their homes and businesses during these hot, dry summer days.  By controlling peak energy usage, you will be helping to maintain low electric rates.
